Juvenile delinquency, or juvenile offending is an act that break the rules, norms, or laws in communities that teenagers do. A juvenile delinquency in the United States is a person below 18 years old that makes crime. Depending on the ages and type of crime, it is possible to treated teenagers under 18 to be charged and treated like adults.
Juvenile crime can be starts from status offenses, to property crimes and behaviour crimes. If this problem persists, teenagers often display antisocial behaviour before finish adolescence.
Juvenile delinquency can be separated into 3 categories:
1. Delinquency, by children under age, this is dealt by the juvenile courts and justice system
2. Criminal behaviour, dealt by the criminal justice system
3. Status offenses, ex : truancy, dealt by the juvenile courts
Juvenile delinquency by males are largely disproportionate than females.
Internal factors :
1. Identity crisis : changes in biological and sociological in teenagers. Juvenile delinquency occurs because teens fail to reach the second integration period.

2. Weak self control ; teenagers who can't learn between behaviour that is acceptable and unacceptable behaviour will be dragged to crime.
External factors :
1. Family and divorce of parents, communication between the family members, or problem between family members can dragged teenager to juvenile delinquency.
2. Wrong education in the family, don't give religious education.
3. Bad relationship with friends or neighborhood.
